Ideas On Past Lives & Karma
We all come into this life with a certain level of Karmic baggage. The most important thing to remember is this; We as souls choose the human body, environment & lessons that are going to help our soul learn and grow the most based on what we did or did not learn in previous incarnations. It is vital we look at our early life challenges and weaknesses in this way. I say early life because beyond a certain age we are no longer victims of our past choices. I will get to this more in a minute.
It would appear that some of us have greater challenges coming into a lifetime. It is important to recognize that many times this is karma from past lives and other times our courageous soul chooses to learn a specific and more difficult lesson. In the case of Karma, no, it is not “god punishing you” that is a completely different, more religious concept that I don’t relate much with. We cannot be punished by “god” because we are one and the same with that eternal energy. We “pay for our choices” by putting ourselves in similar situations again or by putting ourselves in situations to learn from our choices. But, they were our choices in the first place.
We are ultimately in control of our own fate as individuals and as a society. We are also in control of the daily choices we each make in this life but as well as in our past lives. Even though most of us do not consciously remember our past lives, we had just as much free-will and choice as we do now. For example; If you hated another group of people in a past life you might be one of those people in this life to learn compassion for them. We are here as humans to learn compassion, understanding and love for all beings. So since we are all those beings and we are everyone else- ultimately we are here to learn compassion, understanding and love for our-selves. We can make these choices right now, it is never too late to learn and heal. Understanding this concept helps you to start making better choices.
You might say ” Well, what if I was a broke & homeless beggar on the streets? I had no control of my life”. I would say that no matter your social, economic or physical challenges or whether you were born with all the money in the world, we all have the same choices to make. How we live our lives, and in that case mentally and emotionally choosing to be a victim or not and choosing how we view and treat each other, choosing how we live our lives and what we do with our lives…..These are choices everyone has. Some have had more or less freedom than others throughout time. But we all have and have had the freedom within our situations to choose how we position our consciousness.
It seems that we all deal with challenges, and karmic situations from our past lives within the first twenty one years or so of our new life. It is our choice to learn or not to learn the lessons from these early life challenges. We can either heal, grow and move forward in our evolution as individuals and begin to live this life or we can continue to be stuck on those issues, hold on tightly and feel like we are “still victims”. When really we have the free-will to change our lives, stop being victims and create a whole new life for ourselves.
When we become young adults we are free. Free to begin to create new karma, learn the new lessons we came here to learn that we signed up for and free to be who it is our souls want to be. We essentially have a clean slate. This doesn’t mean we don’t still have healing to do, but we are free to do that healing if we so choose and we are free to live the life we want.
This is one of the greatest hurdles for humans. Until we can get out of our own way, we will continue to face the same situations and lessons. Not only individually but as a human society. This is one of the greatest lessons I have been working on in my own life and one of the centerpieces to all of the self-healing I am currently pursuing.
This is why finding ways to heal is so important. If you can find ways to heal and release karmic energy, and heal past hurts in this lifetime as well, it will be much easier to get out of your own way and feel worthy and not so clouded by self- hate & judgment. You are strong enough and you do have the courage to face these issues. Every soul who chooses to come to earth is beyond brave. While life here can be astonishingly beautiful- it is nonetheless filled with hardships and lessons. It would require a strong and courageous soul to take that plunge. You have most likely made it many, many times. So know that you are fundamentally strong.
How To Get Out Of Your Own Way
We must realize when we are self-sabotaging. Many times in life we are not given the circumstances that our hearts wish for because behind that soul urge is the sub-conscious garbage that doesn’t feel worthy of those things. If you pay attention, and I mean really pay attention and go within you will probably find situations when the only thing stopping your success is your own self-doubt and your own feelings of worthiness associated with happiness, love, success or all three.
Many of us are so used to “not quite getting what we want” or of things “not turning our the right way” that subconsciously not only do we expect things to play out that way but that is all we know and relate to. There is almost a sense of being addicted to those feelings and that state of being. We are fearful of what being successful and happy will be like. This is a deep seeded sub-conscious thought that we all deal with as humans. Most likely tied to the collective consciousness.
- STEP 1: Recognize when this is happening- become more self-aware and take a hard look at your life.
- STEP 2: Positive reinforcement ( I am worthy, I am powerful, I am strong, I am not a victim)
- STEP3 : Take steps to heal and release these blocks
- STEP 4: More positive reinforcement ( I am worthy, I am powerful, I am strong, I am not a victim)
Live Your Life
You are here now, and you are worthy, powerful and strong. You are not a victim. You can make these conscious choices and take your power back, the power you have always had. You can heal and you can be the person you want to be. You have to put in the work and you have to want to reach your potential as a human being. We are all at different levels of consciousness and growth but we can choose to step up and change our lives and change ourselves for the better or we can continue with the status quo. It seems like hard work, and it is. But working on yourself, and working to heal is a great way to have a happy, loving and successful life
